Jerry O'Connell Apologizes To Wil Wheaton, 'Stand By Me' Co-Star, For 'Not Being There' During Earlier Child Abuse

Jerry O’Connell, who previously apologized to Wil Wheaton for being unaware of the child abuse he experienced as a youth, recently touched the actor.

On Thursday’s “The Talk,” the “Stand By Me” co-stars and pals reconnected, with O’Connell, now a co-host on the daytime series, apologizing to Wheaton.

“I heard you mention some of your troubles during ‘Stand by Me,’ and while I was 11 at the time, that’s an excuse, I do want to apologize for not being there more for you when you were younger,” O’Connell added.
