An Abuja high court sitting has ruled and struck eight of the federal government’s 15 count charges against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
This is coming after it was reported that the ex-minister of aviation, Mbazulike Amaechi disclosed that Mazi will soon be released.
Nnamdi appeared before the court on Friday (April 8, 2022) for the continuation of his case trial which was preceded by a judge identified as Justice Binta Nyako who stroke out counts “6,7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14” out of the 15 charges on the ground that it has not “disclosed any offense against the defendant.”
Justice Binta Nyako added that “‘Counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 15 show some allegations” but “the court shall proceed to try the defendant on those” counts.
