Reports have it that some bandit attacked some soldiers at a checkpoint in the Agulu area of Anambra state.
According to a verified source, the bandit engaged in a gun battle with the soldiers for about 10 minutes and In the long run, overpowered them.
It was also accounted that bandits didn’t mask themselves as they screamed at the top of their voices that the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be released.
The incident was confirmed by an officer of the Anambra state police command identified as DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who stated that “generally speaking, any attack on any security agent is a threat to the soul of a nation. Yes, there was a shooting incident at a checkpoint in Agulu but the information is still sketchy.”
