As part of his Coachella headline act on Friday, Harry Styles sang two Shania Twain hits with the country legend herself and unveiled three new songs live, including his latest single “As It Was.”
Near the end of his set, the singer introduced Twain, who appeared from a platform at the rear of the stage to perform her 1997 song “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” with him. Following that, Styles and Twain dueted on the Come On Over track, which they had previously performed with Kacey Musgraves at a Madison Square Garden show in 2018.
Following her surprising presence, Shania Twain tweeted:
Styles kicked off his 18-song headlining set with a performance of “As It Was,” the first single from his new album Harry’s House, and later debuted a pair of songs that are likely to appear on the album: the acoustic ballad “Boyfriends” (“To boyfriends everywhere, fuck you,” Styles prefaced) and the funky “Late Night Talking.”
Styles’ third album, Harry’s House, will be released on May 20. It is his first since 2019’s Fine Line. Before that, Styles will headline the Friday night festivities at Coachella’s second weekend in Indio, California.
