Nigerian non-profit legal administration identified as The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) is set to sue the administration of the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in court over the prolonged Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
This is coming months after it was reported that the academic body shut down lectures in all universities due to the federal government’s inability to meet its demand.
According to SERAP, Buhari’s administration failed to end the ongoing strike which “is a violation of the legal obligation to provide access to higher education without discrimination” for Nigerians.
