Reports have it that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Joseph Egbunike who was enlisted in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on the 15th of March, 1988 has died while eating at his office in Abuja.
It was accounted that the deceased was eating a meal when a fishbone stuck in the wrong side of his throat and he was rushed to the hospital where he was operated on and the bone was removed.
It was added that Egbunike returned home successfully after the surgery but he started developing pains and when he was later admitted to the hospital he gave up the ghost.
