Reports have it that an Abuja High Court has ordered the transfer of the suspended deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari, and six other accomplices that were arrested with him to Kuje prison.
This is coming days after it was reported that the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arraigned Kyari alongside six others identified as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sunday Labuan, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bawa James, Inspector Simon Agirigba, Inspector John Nuhu, Chibuinna Patrick Umeibe, and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne.
The case was preceded by a judge identified as Justice Emeka Nwike who stated that the suspended DCP and his accomplices should be transferred to the Kuje correctional center in Abuja following the court’s refusal to grant all the defendants bail.
