Gas Release & Breathing: Why London Aquatics Centre Was Shut Down

The London Aquatics Centre at Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Park has been closed down and sealed off and people have been moved out following a gas leakage.

Chlorine gas was accidentally released in very large amounts in the area which resulted to people having breathing issues.

About 200 people were reportedly evacuated from the building.

In a statement, the London Fire Brigade advised people living around the vicinity to close their doors and windows as the area is been ventilated.
