The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has finally released the ex-governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, who has been in their custody for days.
This is coming days after it was reported that the anti-graft agency arrested the ex-governor at Lagos airport for alleged embezzlement hours after he handed over power to the new governor, Chukwuma Soludo.
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) granted Obiano bail but also seized his international passport to prevent him from leaving the country.
It can be recollected that a video of Obiano putting on a red boxer and a t-shirt in the custody of the agency went viral on the internet which the EFCC admitted one of its officers released.
