Reports have it that gunmen who are yet to be identified attacked and bombed the home of Prof. George Obiozor, president of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group identified as Ohanaeze.
It was accounted that the bandits drove into the compound located in Awo- Omamma, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State at about 6:15 am on Saturday (Mar. 19, 2021) and shot sporadically for over 15 minutes.
The Imo state police force public relations officer (PRO) identified as Micheal Abattam, who confirmed the incident stated that the bandits who are yet to be apprehended as of the time of filing this report used Explosives Devices and petrol bombs to raze the building but no life was lost.
