Charles Awuzie, a major in PR, took to his Facebook page to reveal how a woman who is a leader in Christ Embassy Church, died in Nigeria, in their healing school, instead of continuing treatment from Doctors in a medical hospital in South Africa.

Read below:

“Yesterday, I met a young man – Cyrax McHan whose wife died of Pulmonary Embolism – the same disease I am recovering from.

According to him, his wife was diagnosed here in South Africa and the doctors started treatment. She was a leader in Christ Embassy and their pastor here in SA convinced the wife to fly to Lagos, Nigeria for HEALING SCHOOL.

When the wife got to Nigeria, she joined the healing school and experienced some pain relief which she mistook for healing. The next day, she battled with the symptoms again and was driven out of the healing school in an ambulance in search for a hospital. Unfortunately, she died inside the ambulance ?.

To be honest, I wept deeply when I heard his story.

If I went to a religious healing school instead of going into a hospital last year, I would have been dead too.

For the sake of this late young woman, I will dedicate my birthday to sharing TRUTHS and FACTS about #PulmonaryEmbolism and why Christians should not spiritualize medical conditions.

This is the major cause of death among religious people – seeing every medical condition as a spiritual attack instead of a biological malfunction which can be corrected by medical science.

This is the most painful story of how religion killed a young life and snatched her away from her sweetheart and her 2 children.

I am a Pulmonary Embolism survivor – all thanks to my strict adherence to medical procedures, advice and support.

This is a real life story and I’ve tagged the brother who suffered this pain to prove that our fight against religion in Africa is a matter of life and death.

I am alive today solely because I didn’t listen to all the nonsense advice from religious people who felt my sickness was caused by witchcraft – an appaling superstitious mentality which kills rather than heal.

Embrace truth.
Embrace facts…
Embrace Science.
Embrace logic.
My heart breaks for the religiously deceived.
Maranatha.”
