Following Nnamdi Kanu’s trial which was held at the Abuja high court today at 1 pm, Reports gave it that the Departments of States Service (DSS) has disclosed the reason behind its refusal to allow Mazi to change his cloth.
According to the DSS which was warned earlier by the high court about causing traffic in the court premises before the IPOB leader trial begins told the court that Mazi was denied a change of outfit because of the drawings on the body of the cloth.
The DSS Director of Legal Service who responded to the judge question about the IPOB leader repeating his usual dress to the court said;
“My Lord, clothes that were brought for the defendant had lion’s head embroiled on them, and the defendant (Mr Kanu) can’t wear clothes with a lion’s head.”
“Clothes with lion’s head offend the standard operating procedures of the SSS.”
