The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has charged former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha for an alleged fraud of 2.9 billion naira.
This is coming weeks after his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu was arrested by the Nigerian police as it was reported that Okorocha colluded with some people, including an APC politician and five companies, to loot N2.9 billion from the government purse.
The EFCC publicized that Okorocha who doubles as a senator representing Imo west stole the huge amount of funds between 2014 to 2016 when he was still the ruling governor of Imo state.
