Lagos Motor Dealers Association Enjoin Clearing Agents Strike Over Increased Cost Of Clearing Cars

The Lagos State Motor Dealers Association has released a circular directing all car sales agents & showrooms to shut down their business on February 25, from morning till 12 noon, in support of the strike embarked upon by clearing agents over the newly increased cost of clearing imported cars.

According to the association, the increased cost of clearing new cars is ultimately bad for business for them too because the clearing agents and importers will simply pass on the cost on the value of the car, making it outrageous to the final consumer, which means lesser sales for them.

The Lagos Motor Dealers Association further warned that erring members who open for business during the lockdown time, will have it shutdown till 28 Feburuary, by their task force.
