Bandits Storms University In Nassarawa, Abducts Four Students


Reports have it that bandits attacked the University of Lafia, Nassarawa, and abducted students of the Tertiary institution.

The update was announced by the University’s Public Relation Officer identified as Mr. Abubakar Ibrahim who made it known that four students were kidnapped to a yet-to-be-identified location in the state.

Abubakar stated that the tragic incident happened at about 11:30 pm on Thursday at a community Identified as Mararaba, which is located close to the university, and the school’s vice-chancellor is working towards getting out the students free with the aid of the Nassarawa police command.

According to his words, he said;

“The authority of the Federal University of Lafia regrets to announce that four students of the institution were kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at around 11:30 p.m.

“The unfortunate kidnap incident took place at a community, Mararaba, located close to the university.”

“The Vice-Chancellor, who has since visited the area where the students were abducted, also visited the Nasarawa Police command where he formally notified the commissioner of Police about the abduction of the students,”
