The Nigerian Navy, Army, and Airforce have promoted a total of 235 officers days after the Chief of Defense Staff, Major Gen. Lucky Irabor called for the immediate resignation of 50 generals across the force.
The new development was announced by the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Mr. Edward Gabkwet who said “the Air Force promoted 29 air vice marshals, 31 air commodores and concessional promotion to six airmen.”
“The Concessional commission is usually reserved for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at the twilight of their career years in reward for hard work and in recognition of meritorious service to the Nation.” He added.
