Reports have it that the General Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare is paddling in an alleged debt of 9 billion Naira which he owes Wema Bank.
It was stated that the pastor borrowed an initial amount of N4.5 billion naira to construct his church auditorium to pay back from offerings when he accumulates more members in the church but he was unable to do so due to the government’s prohibition of large gatherings, as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak and this increased the loan to a whooping sum of N9billion.
The clergyman was accused of taking advantage of his relationship with the former Managing Director of the bank, Segun Oloketuyi to collect the loan as the bank is presently hunting him over the loan repayment.
