EFCC: Convicted Fraudster Sentenced For Theft


The Economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) arrested a suspected fraudster identified as Daniel Uche Orji on the ground of Identity theft and computer-related fraud.

The suspect was brought before the federal high court in Kano state where he was arraigned In a one-count charge of obtaining money illegally.

Daniel pleaded not guilty to the charges read against him and the court sentenced him to one-year imprisonment with an option of fine of #1million naira.

The Judge also ordered that the items recovered from him during the arrest which includes a Mercedes Benz GLK, two laptops, a printer, and an iPhone 12 should be forfeited to the federal government of Nigeria.
