Some Nigerians have been arrested by the Ghanaian police over alleged cybercrime and fraud.
This was reported by a Ghanaian journalist, Kubi Jacob who stated that the deputy commissioner of police revealed that the command arrested 26 Nigerians after they raided their apartments.
The deputy police commander, Mr. Amaning Oduro said;
“The police said they retrieved 31 laptops, 26 mobile phones, five machetes and substances suspected to be Indian hemp from the suspects. The suspects are expected to be screened, and those found culpable would be processed to court,”
The journalist also revealed that the Central East Police Commander, Mr. Boapeah Okyere urges Ghanaian landlords to investigate prospective Nigerian tenants before renting out an apartment to them.
