The Isi Agu material is a fabric with lion head patterns, worn by the Igbos in the eastern part of Nigeria on major occasions.
The Isi-agu or Isiagu as some spell it, which translates to lion head in English, was originally given to a man when he received a chieftaincy title.
However, currently, there are various colors, designs, and patterns of the much revered Igbo Isi-agu material, with some bearing tiger heads & bodies, which confuses buyers, leading to the question; which is the main or original Igbo Isi-agu material?
The question will be left for the Igbo traditionalists & historians to answer.
