The National cat day set aside on the 29 of October was first created in 2005, and it is dedicated to celebrating cats and promoting the adoption of stray cats.
The cat day was created by Colleen Paige to basically enlighten people on the number of cats that needs to be rescued every year and has the mission; “To help galvanize the public to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their lives for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us.”
The National cat day is celebrated on October 29 in the United States & on August 8 in Canada.
