A herdsman identified as Muhammadu Abubakar has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ekiti State high court.
The herdsman attempted to murder a man also identified as Chief Samuel Amaa and other victims. He was then arrested by the police and charged to court where a witness was called;
“The defendant was challenged while grazing on the cassava farm; he was angry for being questioned. He pulled out his gun and fired at the people who challenged him, but they were fortunate it (the bullet) missed them.”
