Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was crowned a Patron of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers yesterday.
“Today, I accepted the honour to be Patron of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers with a promise that I will continue to be a worthy ambassador of the professional body by working harder to raise the bar of governance in Lagos State.”
“During a visit by the executive members of NIESV led by the President, Sir Emmanuel Okas, I reiterated my administration’s commitment towards creating an environment that is enduring, sustainable, resilient and one that provides opportunities for the private sector to continue to do well with support from the government.”
“We are working to modernise transportation infrastructure with rail lines that will make commuting better for millions of Lagosians every day. We are convinced that the blue line and red line infrastructure is really going to complement the two other modes of transportation that we have in Lagos, which are the BRT with the high capacity and medium capacity buses as well as the Last Mile buses and of course water transportation.”
“We see the three modes of transportation, railway, water and land coming together as an integrated urban mass transportation solution that will make your Lagos, my Lagos, and our Lagos, a very resilient, efficient and sustainable city.”
“I appreciate the honour of being made a Patron by my professional association and I will live up to the expectations and standards.”
