The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, was slapped on the face, by a man, in full public glare.
The French President received the slap while he came to address the public after a visit to training school for students to enable them work in hotels and restaurants in Tain-l’Hermitage town.
The assailant was subsequently arrested, together with another person who was videoing the slap incident.
Emmanuel Macron further reappeared and continued greeting his people.
